Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state has applauded the exceptional qualities of the retired Comptroller- general of the Nigeria Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede.
The Governor described him as an innovative reformer who had contributed to a more efficient service, notably the digitalization of passport operations and the introduction of a paperless administration.
The governor’s felicitation is contained in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Print Media, Ahmad Muhammad Danyaro in Dutse, and congratulated Babandede on his retirement from service having attained the peak of a meritorious career.
Badaru described him as “a proud son of Jigawa State and legendary leader who surmounted all obstacles to attain his dream of turning around the service and left an indelible mark on the wall of the service through monumental legacies”.
