The council chairman was arrested alongside ten others over an allegation of stoning the chopper of the state Governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura during a visit to Awe recently; the chairman was incarcerated for over 72 hours in Lafia prison.

In spite of the bailed granted in the later hours of last Friday, It was alleged that the state Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Dikko delayed the release of Turaki which was attributed to the none signing bail papers.

Universalreporters247.com gathered that the abode of the executive chairman along Lafia East was a cynosure for well wishers and top party men, but all effort to speak to the embattled chairman proved abortive as he said he is not in position to say a word to the press.

“The matter was adjourned till Thursday, so it will be unwise for me to comment a case before a court of competent jurisdiction”,  he said as he turned down the request.
