The Wife of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar , Hajiya Rukkaiyyat Atiku Abubakar has appealed to the womenfolk in Nasarawa State to shun the ongoing campaign by the ruling All Progressives Congress that are deceiving women with two thousand Naira to get their votes.
He said women should not forget it so soon the untold hardship, agony squalor they are passing through under the leadership of APC.
She disclosed this when her team paid a visit to the Nasarawa State chapter of the party in Lafia, the State capital.
Rukkaiyyat Atiku Abubakar pleaded with the womenfolk to organize themselves ahead of next month’s Presidential election.
She averred that the empowerment was part of her effort to cushion the effect of the present hardship in the country and has doled out N20, 000 to 5000 women in Nasarawa State.
She maintained that the gesture is part of her husband’s plan to tackle poverty, hunger, and stagnation that perturbed society.
The Party Chairman, Hon. Francis Orogu appreciates the kind gesture of the wife of the Presidential candidate by bringing succor to a multitude of households languishing in abject poverty.
The disbursement ended with a rowdy uproar by a few youths and women who did not have access to the main hall where the sharing take place.
