Arm, Explosives Devices(IEDs) Discovered By Police In Bauchi

The Police Command in Bauchi State in a statement on Thursday said it found a cache of arms and improvised explosive devices which were buried in a building somewhere in Azare town of Katagum local government area.

According to Bauchi State Police Command spokesperson, Mohammed Haruna,  the lethal weapons were discovered on Wednesday at about 4:30pm following a tip-off.

Speaking the PPRO also said that the police Explosives Ordinance Unit of the police Command had successfully recovered and rendered safe a heavy-wired IED gas cylinder buried in a building site located at Vehicle Inspection Officers (VIO) Quarters in Azare.

Haruna said; “Other items recovered at the site include 37 rounds double-barrel cartridge while some hoodlums occupying the building for five months now have been chased away.
