- Urges Stakeholders To Support Bogoro
Arewa Youth Development Foundation (AYDF) Bauchi state chapter has applauded the giant strides of the Tertiary education Trustfund (TETFUND) for improved education development in Nigeria especially under the current leadership of Professor Sulaiman Elias Bogoro.
This is just as the group have urged stakeholders in the education sector to give their maximum support and cooperation to the Executive Secretary, Professor Bogoro whom they describe as a focus and credible academician that deserve to pilot the agency towards the yearning and aspiration of education.
This was contained in a press statement made available to universalreporters247.com in Bauchi on Monday, signed by the chairman Comrade Auwal Gambo Pali and Engineer Emmanuel Isheni secretary respectively as it rated Bogoro as the best performing TETFUND boss.
The group reiterated that Bogoro’s achievement speaks volume about him in line with the genuine education development required by the current administration of APC with the gradual improvement the education sector has recorded since his appointment just one year in office
According to the group, the ideal policy of Bogoro has made it easy for tertiary institutions to access TETFUND funds, the introduction of e-library, the quest for the extension of the agency’s offices in all the six geopolitical zones as well as award of both national and international scholarships that was not a right to all categories of students and lectures.
“We are happy Bogoro have introduced training and re-training through seminar/workshop as a window for enhanced productivity among students and lecturers in the country and we are also aware that there have been appreciative student enrollment in all the tertiary institutions with the efforts of TETFUND to provide sufficient infrastructures to cater for the students’ accommodation,” the group said.
Pali regretted the unfortunate media bashing by a faceless coalition group which its main aim is to drag Bogoro’s integrity to the mud without clear evidence, as he added that they may be acting, the script of their sponsors, especially since after the dissolution of the FG boards of parastatals and caution them to desist from the nefarious act.
“It‘s a shame to the nation’s educational aspiration to learn that their sponsors have even gone spiritual to ensure the ouster of Bogoro from office, even when none of them have the capacity, quality and the qualification to hold same and we are calling on Nigerian students not to fold their arms watching streets touts threatening the Education sector which is an indispensable tool of development by inciting Buhari against Bogoro,” Pali fumed.
The chairman maintained that those facilitating the move against Bogoro are doing that through religious and ethnic discrimination which contravenes the agenda of our founding fathers towards nation building and solid political development, explaining that AYDF will not hesitate to sanction erring Northerners agitating against Bogoro as TETFUND boss.
AYDF urged stakeholders to support and cooperate with Bogoro to enable him execute the task ahead towards improved education development and urges President Buhari to ignore attempts aimed at instigating him against Bogoro saying the group is among major catalysts that is saddled to project and protect Northern agenda.
The group therefore calls for peace, unity and togetherness of all Nigerians irrespective of their differences and by extension in Bauchi state with a caution on politicians not to use their political affiliations as weapons of destroying their fellow citizens.
