The Nasarawa State Commissioner Of Police, Abubakar Bello has called on the people of Assakio Development Area to leave in peace with one another, describing peace as a catalyst for even and rapid development.
The police boss hinted this when he paid a visit to the scene of the cross that appeared five feet away from central mosque; Abubakar Bello in an interview shortly after he visited the paramount rulers palace stated this.
He advised the people not to allow the illuminated cross to be a subject of controversy, adding that sizeable numbers of his men were deployed to maintain law and order.
Also speaking, the monarch of Assakio, His Royal Highness, Osula Inarigu appealed to his people to embrace one another devoid of religion inclination.
The Makungujin Assakio, Sabo Atoshi who spoke on behalf of the traditional ruler said the appearance of the cross is a sign of good thing to the people of Assakio.
Our reporter who was at the scene of the cross at about 1:00pm (Tuesday) can authoritatively revealed that the image is disappearing while unprecedented crowd across the state converged there.
