Labaran Maku, the National Secretary of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has called on the Nasarawa State House of Assembly lawmakers to apologize to the suspended members for opposing illegality by the chief executive.
The former minister of Information made the call on Wednesday in an interview with the cross section of Journalists in the state, Maku explained that the members who are all members of the ruling All Progresives Congress (APC) in the state were suspended because the challenged the illegality by the governor.
“When the Governor appointed Sole Administrators in the 11 out of the 13 Local Government Areas (LGA) in the state, the six suspended members said it is illegal to appoint sole administrators.
“They insisted that the LGA law in the state does not give powers to the governor to appoint sole administrators.
“Others members instead of joining them, they were beating up and suspended indefinitely,” he added.
He described Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members who in the House of Assembly as an arm chair members, saying the members are supposed to be the voice of the voiceless and check the excesses of the executive but not physically fighting APC members to protect illegality.
He urged the people of the constituencies of the suspended members to identify with them for defending the law in order to encourage people who would want to defend the truth in future.
He advised the assembly to live about board and always speak for the people of their constituencies by defending the law at all times.
