APC Ward Chairmen Seeks Expulsion Of Ex-Minister Nakande By Yakubu Busari, Jos

APCThe ward chairmen of All Progressive Party (APC) in Jos North and Bassa LGAs of  Plateau State has demanded the expulsion of former state minister of information and communication, Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande from the party.

The chairmen seeks his expulsion in a petition address to the state chairman of APC and copied to the national chairman and secretary of the party and signed by 22 ward chairmen for gross misconduct and working against the party in Jos North/Bass Federal Constituency.

Nakande had challenge the outcome of the party primaries of Jos North/Bassa federal constituency in the federal high court in Jos for irregularities and allege smuggling of unlawful delegate by the winner Suleiman Yahaya Kwande who defeat Nakande two others in the election.

The chairmen request the party to invoke the disciplinary action against Nakande for filling a case against the party, disloyalty to party elders and stakeholders despite all pleas and persuasion by stakeholders within and outside the state to withdraw the case before the court in the interest party before the 28 March 2015 election.

They noted that Nakande’s contravene Article 21 of the party constitution, adding, “Any member who files an action in court of law against the party or any of its officers on any matter or matters relating to the discharge of the duties of the party without the avenues for redress provided for in this constitution shall automatically stand expelled from the party”.

In his response when contacted, Nakande said that he did not see the petition and will not comment on the issue because the matter is before the court.
