An All Progressives Congress ( APC) and one of the strong members of Kiche Awareness Forum For Change in Bassa Local Government Council in 2015, Hon Israel Amabu has decamped to the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP with at least no fewer than 1,500 supporters to the People Democratic Party,PDP..
Amabu made this known while addressing Journalists in Jos
According to Amabu , “my resignation was followed by no reward by the party faithful, so as the emancipator of my people I feel betrayed that the APC didn’t do the needful.
Adding further he said, “ the issues that led me to decamped is simply meant that the party abandoned me and I feel to move to a better political party that can appreciate my contributions.
He said, “I have officially put in my resignation letter to the APC to notify them of my reasons as a party why I defected to PDP.
Israel Amabu disclosed that “my reasons why I decided to decamp to the PDP is that formerly I was in APC and we brought change that the people are yearning for then and now there are so many wrongs in APC by the government especially infrastructure, manpower and insecurity challenges “.
According to him, injustice led us to defect to APC and this is a group that created awareness and gave an opportunity to the APC to strive in Rukuba and one of the biggest financiers to the projects.
He stressed that when APC came on board those that contributed to its success were neglected in the background despite that he remained resilient and committed to the APC project but his effort was not recognized.
Hon Israel Amabu raised concern that with the kind of vigour and commitment, pressure, and resources that I have used to ensure that APC is strengthened.
He maintained that the same resources and financial support for the APC I shall deploy the same or more to the victory of the PDP in the 2023 general elections.
Hon Amabu lamented that all of us who deed Plateau Projects are shocked that the same APC failed us woefully and these are why we all defected to PDP to bring the same desire leadership.
He explained further that, their concern then was primarily the Plateau project to stabilize and develop the state through human capacity development and I must not vie for any elective position to contribute his quarter for the progress of the state.
Hon Amabu stated that “I want to give back to my society if, given the opportunity, we want credible candidates to emerge with the zoning system.
In the Irigwe/Rukuba constituency, those of us who started the APC together canvas support for the party but we did so with personal efforts through financing it and we saw the end of it, he said.
Hon Amabu says, honestly from assessment PDP is very strong here on the Plateau and it has 100% grantee to deliver, he condemned that lack of teamwork is what would crash APC in Plateau state.
He employed the PDP stakeholders to ensure that there is fairness during the forthcoming primaries to bring in a unifying candidate to take over.
