A Five-man Disciplinary Committee on anti-party activities set up by the national working committee of the All Progressives Congress has received a formal report of alleged anti-party activities against the immediate past governor of Zamfara State, Abdul Aziz Yari and the Deputy National Chairman (North), Lawal Shuaibu.
The findings in the petition indicates that the Zamfara State Executive Committee of the party submitted the report on Monday to the Committee led by former Ekiti State governor and deputy national chairman, south, Otunba Adeniyi Adebayo.
The state APC Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Bello Bakyasuwa, led other officials of the party to the APC National Secretariat to submit the report which both accused former governor, Abdul Aziz Yari and Senator Shuaibu of breaching Article 21(a) 2014 of the APC Constitution (as amended).
Article 21(a) of the APC 2014 Constitution, (as amended) reads in part: “Subject to the provisions of this article and the right to a fair hearing, the party shall have the power to discipline party members. The power shall be exercised by the respective Executive Committee of the party at all levels.
“Offences against the party shall include the following: A breach of any provisions of this Constitution, anti-party activities or any conduct, which is likely to embarrass or have adverse effect on the party or bring the party into hatred, contempt, ridicule or disrepute and disobedience or negligence in carrying out lawful directives of the party.”

The National Chairman,
All Progressive Congress (APC),
National Headquarters,
Abuja.
Sir,
EXPULSION OF ALH. ABDULAZIZ YARI ABUBAKAR AND LAWAL SHUAIBU KAURA FROM APC ZAMFARA STATE CHAPTER FOR BREACH OF ARTICLE 21 A (1) (IX) AND (X) OF APC CONSTITUTION 2014 AS AMENDED.
We the Zamfara State A.P.C State Exco under the able Chairmanship, Alh. Sirajo Garba Gusau held an emergency meeting on 3rd of June 2019, were the council resolved among other issues to expel Alh. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar and Lawal Shuaibu Kaura from A.P.C for breach of party constitution, the reasons for this expelled is clearly spell out from article 21 sub 1A ix and x of the A.P.C constitution 2014 as amended.
It’s may interest you to note that Zamfara State A.P.C did not sponsor any candidate in all the elective post in the just concluded general election held in 2019.
Reason being that Yari and his political Alliance approached the court and claimed that A.P.C party primary was conducted between 7th and 10th of October 2018, and that his choice of candidate emerged at the said primaries, which was conducted by the Zamfara State acclaimed A.P.C Chairman (Yari Version of A.P.C) one the said primary organized by the said State Chairman who has happen to be a candidate representing Kaura Namoda State Constituency on the said primary, for better understanding the acclaimed chairman of A.P.C of Yari version who was also a candidate in that primary was also a returning officer or an the person who conducted A.P.C Primary for Zamfara State who also declare all Yari’s selected candidates and who also declare himself as a winner.
This conduct of Yari version of A.P.C to organized the party primary for Zamfara State was a clear flagrant disobedient to both the party guidelines and the constitution to God be glory that both the court of appeal Sokoto Division and the Supreme Court of Nigeria as clearly in an unambiguous terms that it is wrong for State A.P.C to organize a party primaries, the responsibility of organizing a party primary into various elective post has a flavor of the party guidelines which says “Primaries are to be conducted and supervised by the National Executive Committee who is charged with that responsibility” not for any state chairman to conduct primary which that conduct of Yari and his camp cost A.P.C in Zamfara to lost all his elective post to another political party.
We like to state that in an unequivocal terms that it was Yari and his camp who on the 8th of October 2019 before even the time frames to conclude the primary has not elapse took A.P.C, 1st National Vice Chairman North West of A.P.C and INEC to court took in Zamfara State High court asking the court to compel INEC to recognized his selected choice candidate for both governor, deputy governor, three Senate including himself, all federal house of representative and the State house of Assembly. The said court process is hereby attached to this letter for better comprehension.
It was during the pendency of this action that the distinguished Sen. Kabir Garba Marafa and one Hundred and Forty others who are also candidates willing to contest different post at various level and who also are card carrier members of A.P.C in the state, who also believe that they are the one the party should sponsor in the proposed general election then.
We are by this letter and for the above reason, we the Executive Council of A.P.C Zamfara State Chapter have firmly resolved to expel Alh. Abdulaziz Yari Abubakar former Governor of Zamfara State and Lawal Shuaibu Kaura Deputy National Chairman (North) from Zamfara A.P.C that is the decision of the Zamfara State All progressive Congress (A.P.C). The attitude and the conduct of this personality has brought the A.P.C in Zamfara state to a State of disrepute and a clear flagrant disobedient, for ease of reference the party constitution, party guidelines, notices of appeal to the supreme court which show clearly that it was Yari and his Camp who first approach the court for declarations asking the court to declare their illegal organized primary by the State A.P.C Chairman are hereby attached to this letter.
That was the decisions of the Zamfara State A.P.C Executive Excos.
Thanks.
Yours sincerely,
