The All Progressives Congress (APC) flag-bearer for Bogoro constituency Honorable Bulus Iliya better known as Bulusiyya has distributed food items worth N2.5 Million to over five hundred (500) vulnerable women in Bogoro local government area of Bauchi State.
The distribution of the relief materials was held at the Government Day Secondary School Bogoro on Thursday in Bogoro, Bauchi State.
Some items distributed are 3,000 bags of rice and beans worth over N 1.5 million to the widows and cash money to some other vulnerable women in order to start businesses for the betterment of themselves and their relatives.
Honorable Bulus Iliya who was an aide to the Speaker of the 8th Assembly Rt, Honorable Dr. Yakubu Dogara, said: “I have been doing this philanthropic gesture even before I came out to aspire for this position, so this is not something new.”
He further said that “I am not doing this on the basis of my party, APC, because not all the widows and other women gathered here are in the APC; there are others in other political parties, and I don’t discriminate on the basis of party.”
“You will notice that I did not shout the APC slogan during the distribution of the items because I did not want any of them who belong to other political parties to feel offended. This is a philanthropic gesture.”
