The former Chairman of Langtang south Local Government Area and also aspirant for 2015 Langtang North/South federal constituency ,Hon.Hittler Fankun Dadi has set for political battle with incumbent Member Hon Beni Lar ahead of 2015 declaration dateline.
He vowed to defeat People Democratic Party (PDP) said ,it was worried that attempt was being made to use to political thugs in the forthcoming general polls in the state’s
He said: “Some people are trying to set a dangerous precedent and If care is not taken, we will soon get to a stage where some disgruntled people will get our beloved country into anarchy
Dadi said ,as All Progressives Congress ,we described the extra judicial killing being orchestrated in Plateau state as dangerous to the sustenance of democracy in the state.
Dadi expressed worried that attempt was being made to use the thugs to rig the forthcoming general elections by PDP, Dadi, added: “Some people are trying to set a dangerous precedent and If care is not taken, we will soon get to a stage where some disgruntled people will get the country democracy into hands of fews individuals ”.
The Former council boss urged Plateau citizens to looked beyond the narrow interest of APC, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and elect credible personality that can redeem the loss glory of the state .
“Rather, what is playing out in Plateau state portends serious danger for democracy in Nigeria if it is allowed to succeed ,we cannot speak of Nigeria without the Tarok nation ,the first Nigerian who rose from rank and file to become a three star general was a Tarok man General Domkat Bali and first ECOMOG commander General John Nanzip Shagaya ,UN secretary general Nanven Joseph Garba all retired.
“This is because the moment it happens in Plateau that the judiciary is used to prevent the person elected by the people in Langtang North
“The implication of this is that Nigerians will just have to kiss democracy goodbye!”with the attitude of PDP government causing thread cautiously.
He cautioned “The government must not give the impression that it is working against the people.
“The moment the people begin to have the feelings that the elections is being used perpetuate selfish interests, the credibility of the INEC will become questionable and that is unhealthy for our nation.
“Therefore, those involved in the Plateau State matter should be mindful of their actions and inaction so that they don’t destroy democracy in our country.”
