Anambra govt, Uli people commends ATIHF for Commissioning Humanitarian Foundation, Water Project

As part of assisting the govt.in the promotion of service to humanity, the govt.of Anambra State and the people of Uli in Ihiala LGA, have expressively commended on of their illustrious sons, Hon. Amb.Tony Ike,(Uli of Uli),who is native of Afam Alaife Umuaku for the establishment of the foundation known as “Amb.Tony Ike Humanitarian Foundation, ATIHF”.

 

According to the Founder/Chairman of ATIHF, Amb.Ike, which is aimed at improving livelihood of the people especially the poorest of the poor, down trodden, helpless widowless- privileged, orphanage and the jobless youths in the society and also to encourage free education, free medicare and other forms of humanitarian assistance to the people.

 

In an address presented by Hon.Barr.Chidi Livinus Udemmadu,the member representing Ihiala I State Constituency, who also represented the Governor of Anambra State,Chief Willie Obiano,expressed satisfaction to witness the official unveiling of ATIHF/ Commissioning of Water Project.

 

Barr.Udemmadu commended Amb.Ike for his kind gesture, which he described as born out of passion to uplift the living standard of the people in Uli Communities and Anambra State.

 

“Govt.of Anambra State have tried to upgrade the living standard of her indigenes in different ways yet the problem of individuals cannot be completely met, hence ATIHF is established to assist govt.on improving the livelihood of the people”,Udemmadu restated.

 

“We are here to show you support and to encourage your foundation to succeed. Most families find it very difficult to meet their needs adequately as demanded by the United Nations, UN, and living standard expectation. But your foundation has come to take care of the people who by no means cannot afford to care for themselves and their children on quality education, skills acquisition amongst others. Your foundation has brought in hope to Ndi-Igbo, Anambra and Nigeria. You would be celebrated from across the globe through the foundation. Do not relent, God would continue to sustain your financial income. Your ideas in positively touching lives must be rewarded because you have laid down a legacy which must be emulated”,the lawmaker submitted.

 

Expressing his profound joy,the ATIHF Chairman,Amb.Tony Ike,in his speech,”I decided to embark on the foundation programme to touch lives and to improve livelihoods as part my service to humanity and divinity. So many people are suffering,no help,helplessness of the people,untimely death is rampant,high of rate school drop out,lack of portable water,bad roads,poor academic/educational background,joblessness amongst the youths,epileptic power supply”.

 

Amb.Ike,therefore said ” in ATIHF,our vision is to make life less burdensome to the destitute and less privileged ones in the state and its environs. To bring equality and stability to the poor who have no social advantages. Achieving these goals will bring fulfillment to the Founder and Board of Trustees of the Foundation. As betterment of life and improving livelihood is the core vision of ATIHF”.

 

According to Amb.Ike,”Our objectives are:to see that as many widows that can be reached shall have their basic needs met. To see that the less privileged children willing obtain their education as funded by the foundation. To provide employment opportunities to the timing unemployed youths to be meaningfully engaged to prosperity,and to basic needs to the less privileged in Ihiala LGA in Anambra State”.

 

“I am running the foundation to help mankind. A lot of people in my community are suffering. I poised and passionate to put smiles the faces of the people because charity begins at home”,Amb.Ike,noted.

 

Dignitaries and some to govt.office holders in attendance from Anambra State includes:the Special Assistant to the State Governor on Local Govt.Affairs,Hon.Kinsgley Obi, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works,Chief Emeka Ohuoha, the Anambra State First Bank Representative,Mr.John Paul,and the Former Special Assistant to Imo State Govt.on Equity and Fairness,Hon.Barr.Benjamin Okemiri,who made the Project Review topic on the needs for prominent individuals to add positive value into the lives of the down trodden. Other respected friends,business partners of Amb.Ike,were also present as they all extolled the Chairman of the Foundation for remembering poor,even as they prayed God to empower him the more.

 

Some of the village women who added their voices mostly on the successful water project ( bore hole sank by ATIHF) are:Lolo Mrs.Sabina Ogbuehie,of Alaife,Mrs.Basilia Chukwu,Mrs.Loveth Igboewusi and Mrs.Evelyn Onumuonu,in their separate words,thank God for blessing Amb.Ike,whom they described as ” a son in whom they are well pleased”.

 

“All we need is love,wisdom,unity and progress. May God bless our children so that they would be able to remember us. The light of God has come to shine in our various households. Water is good,it does not have enemy. It will serve us well. We are grateful to God for the sinking of the bore hole from our son,Amb.Ike. May God continue to bless and multiply him”,the village women prayed.
