Amid Social Distancing, Gov. Fintiri Celebrates Eid-El-Fitr In Yola

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Sunday joined hundreds of Muslims at the Agga Islamic Centre, Yola to observe the two-raka’at supererogatory prayers in commemoration of this years Eid-el-fitir Sallah celebration.

 

The Governor accompanied by Secretary to the State Government Malam Bashir Ahmad among other senior government officials performed the prayers amid social distancing to curb the spread of coronavirus pandemic.

 

In his sermon shortly after he led the two raka’at prayers, the Deputy Chief Imam of Agga Islamic Centre, Yola Sheikh Musa Habibu admonished Muslims to fear Allah shun away from all sinful activities even after the Ramadan period.

 

Sheikh Habibu urged the faithfuls to be thankful to Allah at all times, supplicate and prayed fervently with their families for God guidance and for peace and tranquillity to continue reign in the state and the country in general.

 

Meanwhile, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for the successful completion of Ramadan fast and subsequent witnessing yet another Eid-el-fitir sallah.

 

The Governor stated this after observing Eid-el-fitir prayers in an interview with Government House, Correspondents at the Islamic Centre in Yola.

 

He called on Muslims to continue to pray fervently for Allah’s intervention towards end of the dreaded coronavirus pandemic and wished Muslims in Adamawa a Happy Sallah celebration.

 

Also in an interview, the Chairman Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board and who doubles as Director general fresh air campaign organization Alhaji Usman Aliyu Marafa congratulated Muslims for a successful completion of Ramadan fast and urged them to continue to pray fervently to Allah for end of covid-19 pandemic.
