Alleged Economic Sabotage: Gov.Ihedioha’s Security ,DSS, Police parades 16 persons

The Rebuild Mission Government of Governor Emeka Ihedioha, through his Special Adviser on Security Matters, Hon.Raymond Nkemdirim, in collaboration with the Imo State Police Command in Owerri, on Friday July 5th 2019,arrested and paraded 16 persons suspected to be involved on alleged economic sabotage.

 

In a press briefing at the Imo State Police Command Owerri,the Special Adviser to the Governor on Security Affairs,Mr.Raymond Nkemdirim,described the suspects as economic saboteurs,persons who are hell bent to spoil the new govt.of his principal,Chief Emeka Ihedioha.

 

The SA,Nkemdirim said ” upon reasonable intelligent report,a joint operation was carried out by the operatives of the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of Security Services,DSS. As a result,a total number of 16 suspects were arrested for various offences ranging from Vehicle License racketeering,touting,production/issuance fake driver’s license,all culminated in the offence of economic sabotage against govt.revenue policies”.

 

Hon.Nkemdirim,therefore frowned at the ugly height of illegal operation going on right inside the premises of some govt.offices by some group of persons who claimed to be staff especially at the Imo State Board of Internal Revenue,BIR.

 

He however called on Imolites to shun further patronage of fake and unauthorized operators of above mentioned documents as anyone caught will face the full wrath of the law.

 

The SA on Security Imo State assured that those suspects shall however be arraigned in court in accordance with the appropriate laws.

 

Those involved as suspects includes: Chioma Anyanwu,f,23 years,Chiamaka Adindu,f,25 years,Salome Chibuogwu,f,40 years,Kelechi Anyanwu,f,28 years,Kingsley Onwuzugha,m,40 years,Chidinma Uwakwe,f,38 years,and Chinedu Chimezie,m,36 years,others are: Emelda Mbalisi,Onyanze Donatus,m,35 years,Metilda Anyanwu,f,43 years,Obinna Ikoro,m,30 years,Anderson Anugwara,Esther Anozie,Justina Chidera Onyewuchi,Ogechi Iwuji,and Ijeoma Mercy Udechukwu,f,36 years.

 

Moreso,the SA has called on the good people of Imo State to shun the patronage of fake and unauthorized operators of the above mentioned documents as anyone caught will face the full wrath of the law.

 

He disclosed that the suspects would be arraigned in court in accordance with the appropriate laws.

 

Meanwhile,the Imo State Command Police Public Relations Officer,PPRO,Chief Godson Orlando Ikeokwu,has called on the media to also balance their reports as such,the general public would be educated,enlightened and appropriately informed,even as described the media as the watchdogs of the society.
