The Inter-Party Advisory Council IPAC of Plateau State is hereby disclaiming the purported Press Statement issued in the name of its Deputy Chairman, Ahmed Sani which has been published by some national dailies, particularly Daily Trust of 27th March, 2017 on page 41.

The said publication was and is the handwork of the Ahmed Sani who issued the statement not that of IPAC as he claimed.

The Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) does not operate outside the code of conduct that established it. It only engage in dialogue with the relevant stakeholders as provided for by article 3 (A) (vi) of the code of conduct 2013.

The council wishes to draw the attention of the Member of Plateau State House of Assembly, representing Jos North-North, Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan, Mr. Abdul Nasir Saleh (who is alleging the member for certificate forgery), the Chief Justice of Nigeria Justice Walter Onnoghen, the Attorney General of the federation Mr. Abubakar Malami (SAN), and any other person (individual or corporate) or any group concern in respect of the purported petition by the said Ahmed Sani. That the said petition emanated from his (Ahmed Sani) own whims and caprices, not the decision of IPAC Plateau State and IPAC Plateau State shall not be liable for the said publication.

The case instituted against the honourable member of Plateau State House of Assembly, representing Jos North-North in person of Hon. Ibrahim Baba Hassan, on the issue of his certificate has never come to the attention of IPAC for any intervention. It is purely an APC internal issue and it did not and does not in any way involve IPAC Plateau State. For this reason IPAC is not a party as stated above.

We wish to further state that the said Sani is now facing a disciplinary committee to explain what prompted him to act in such a manner, otherwise he should be ready to face the necessary disciplinary action in accordance with relevant provisions of the code of conduct 2013.
