All Kano Farmers Back Ganduje, Organise Paying Homage To New Emirs

In their resolve to show their unflinching support and unrelenting commitment towards the intended development of the newly created Emirates in Kano state, Kano farmers under the auspices of All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Kano state branch, plan to have solidarity tour to all the four palaces, as a way of paying homage to the thrones.

 

Revealing that, all preparations are in top gear to take special solidarity tour to the new palaces, as a strategy to further strengthen the traditional institution in the state, for the expected synergy to be perfected.

 

Disclosing this, the Chairman of Kano state branch of AFAN, Faruk Rabi’u Mudi, during a recent solidarity visit to the Kano state governor, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, on the creation of new Emirates, assures that, “…we are all out to show our solidarity to His Excellency our able governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje and his loyal Deputy Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna.”

 

Mudi added that, they believed that the new Emirates were put in place to deepen growth and development in the state, stressing that, “We will be ready Your Excellency to support and promote your good understanding of how to genuinely develop our state with the inclusion of our traditional institution, by way of incorporating all our First Class Emirs in the process.”

 

While all preparation for the specially designed visit is on top gear, Mudi challenged that, their support would further encourage the grassroot consolidation, support and continued understanding of the governor’s good intention to take develop to communities closer to the people. In his response, governor Ganduje assured farmers that the state government would continue supporting agriculture by way of positive response to economic diversification, “…as agriculture is fast bouncing back and becoming the mainstay of our economy in the state, in particular and the nation in general,” he maintains.

 

Ganduje appreciates that, “I am extremely happy as you have resolved to go round and pay homage to our newly established Emirates of Bichi, Rano, Karaye and Gaya. We are committed to work hand in hand with our traditional institutions for state’s sustainable development in all aspects of human endeavour.”

 

He reminded that whoever sees anything wrong in incorporating the traditional institutions for the societal development, such a person, he challenged, is fighting the interest of the citizenry, adding that, “We are remodeling our Emirates to comply with the modern development strategy for the state.”

 

Concern for improving the living standard of rural communities to become big cities, is one of the major reasons for the emergence of the four more Emirates in the state.

 

“I want assure our farmers that this administration is yours. You are all aware of the new strategies we are putting in place to further consolidate and refocus our commitment towards developing our state to become agric-based and knowledge-based economy,” Ganduje reiterates.
