Ali Modu Sheriff Is Responsible for the Emergence of Boko Haram, Borno Attorney General Alleges

Borno State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Hon Kaka  Shehu  Lawan has called for the arrest of Ali Modu Sheriff the former Governor of the State for allegedly being responsible for the spread of Boko Haram in the State and the country.

Speaking at one of the sessions of the ongoing annual conference of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA in Port Harcourt the Rivers State Capital, he said Ali Modu Sheriff should be arrested and prosecuted.

According to him, the arrest of Ali Modu Sheriff over his alleged role in the emergence of Boko Haram will appease the moods of millions that have been displaced by the terrorist actions of the deadly group.

He stated that the former Governor who is now a Senator was responsible for the growth of terrorist group.
