Barely few days to the conduct of 2019 general election, major tribes in Nasarawa South senatorial zone has gang up against the ambition of the outgoing governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura whose second term expires on May 29, 2019.

The massive turn out of people from Southern zone to embrace the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, Labaran Maku is a clear indication that tribalism and religion would play a key role in electing the people’s representative especially in Nasarawa South senatorial seat.

Universalreportersng.com can revealed that secret talks are ongoing in APGA to persuade the State Chairman of the party, Musa Saidu to step down for the incumbent senator representing Nasarawa South under the banner of the People’s Democratic Party, Suleiman Adokwe.

Further findings has shown that Saidu has shelved his campaign, another indicator that suffice was that the governorship candidate of APGA has been presenting some of the party candidates to the electorate as it was done to Hon.Elisha Agwadu contesting for House of Representatives representing Lafia/Obi Federal Constituency.

Other contestants presented also includes Hon.Nathaniel Agyo Mesa seeking for the seat of House of Assembly representing Lafia East, Hon.Hamza Ibrahim representing Lafia Central respectively but Musa Saidu was never presented once in Nasarawa South.

It would be recalled that Migili Cultural Development Association expressed great concerned over the neglect of Migili nation by successive government since creation of the State and Advent of democracy in 1999, the leadership of MCDA who lament the neglect of Migili communities averred that no single Migili community was connected to the national grid eight years of the APC under Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.

Maku while reacting assured them that APGA would accord impetus to electricity and would also extend his hands of fellowship to the security of lives and properties of the citizenry.

He gave the assurance during a town hall meeting with Migili in Gidinye recently,he said that he would accord premise to the issue of security of lives and properties, saying security remains the cardinal objective of a responsible government.

Another boring issue that would affects the outgoing governor’s senatorial seat was the litigation ongoing between multitudes of pensioners demanding for their three years entitlement as out of court settlement failed in spite of the swift intervention of Nigeria Labour Congress.

As election this year’s election is around the corner no frantic effort was made to return Internally Displaced Persons in TIV communities to their permanent place of abode.

Is on record that some IDP’s from the State has move to Lugbe in Federal Capital Territory while others are in Dawodu in neighboring Benue State and beyond.

Onlookers continued to recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari did not won election in 2015 and would not be allowed to clinch presidential election in this year’s election,A retired Local Government staff in Obi Local Government who pleaded anonymity buttressed that a vote for governor Al-Makura’s APC is a vote for second phase of squalor and deprivation.

The contest seems to be hotter the two gladiators ,that is the incumbent, governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of the APC and Senator Suleiman  Adokwe of the PDP, who is serving a third term in the red chambers of the National Assembly.

Pundits are of the view that this year’s senatorial election would be between consolidation and change ,this continued  to generates heat than even that of the governorship which will be between a second time member Federal House of Representatives, Hon.David Ombugadu of the PDP and a successful business man, Engr.A.A.Sule of the APC.
