The Akpu Community in Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State has admonished the developmental strides of the State Governor, Willie Obiano in three years.
The spokesperson of the Community Leaders said, his giant strides in infrastructural development have transformed the State into a metropolitan state within three years which cut across all looks and cranny of the state.
The President General, Elder Dan Chibueze Okoli described Governor Willie Obiano as God sent who brought the dividends of Democracy to the teeming populace through his four policy of Agriculture, oil and gas, security, industrialization and security respectively.
Elder Okoli pointed out that “since this present administration came on board it took bold steps in the rural feeder roads construction across all communities in the state.
According to him, the construction of Box culvert across Nkwa River to link Akpu, Umagu Etiti in Ufuma and culvert linking Nwafija and Akpu with spur in Timek Junction in Nwafija is ongoing in our community and this project when completed will ease movement of people.
Adding, other accessible roads from Nwafija down to Ufuma passing through Akpu had continued to attract the comment of indigenes of the community both home and the Diaspora.
He pledged unalloyed support of the communities to the amiable performance of his Excellency which is visible and can be seen.
“Today Akpu sons and daughters are being appointed into positions, and youths are gainfully employed in the state civil service and our women are financially empowered, he added”.
The President General urged the people to support the good intentions of the Governor for effective service delivering. Contributing the secretary of the association stated that Akpu is on track as Governor Obiano has surpassed the people’s expectations in three years of his administration as crime is a thing of the past in Anambra State as one can now sleep with one eye in the state. Agriculture revolution is being witnessed as Anambra rice has flooded the market and also Anambra is among the states that export vegetables abroad.
Collaborating the President General, Commissioner, Anambra State Civil Service Commission Mrs Kate Obiorji lauded the governor for a wonderful job in the state as today in the area of security, Anambrians can now go to sleep without fear, the state civil service is under improvement as civil servants in the state can now work with their eyes closed as their salaries are paid on time.
According to her workers enjoy salary increment, government buses now convey workers to work among others. Anambra state remains the best state in education as her pupils has continued to excel in various completions both home and aboard.
The Commissioner who is a daughter of the community called on the people to support the Willie obiano administration for better Anambra. Secretary of the union and son of the soil, Titus OKoli drummed support for Governor Willie Obiano’s administration and prayed for him to succeed in government. Okoli believed with Obiano on board civil servants will continue to smile and urged the community to be law abiding.
