Last Thursday,May 30th 2019,residents of Owerri witnessed the demolition of the supposed “Hand of God” designed and built by the immediate past Imo State Governor,Rochas Okorocha.
The moulded amulet which was described as “Akachi” the hand of God,by Chief Okorocha as part of his show for the love of God,in land which he allegedly grabbed by the land owners who went to court and was ordered by the court to reclaim their land few months ago,but due the presence of Rochas as Governor,they (owners of the land) were unable to enter the said land,until his exit as the immediate past governor on May 29th 2019,
Just a day after he left the office as a Governor,the aggrieved people (land owners) decided to enter their as directed by the court,which they began with the demolition of the multi-million naira Akachi structure,but unfortunately Military personnels (Nigerian Soldiers) numbering over 25 persons armed intervened, stopped the destruction and chased all around the premises away.
Journalists including Universal Reporters Correspondents who witnessed, confirmed the presence of the Military officers with about four hilux vans and some police officers who evenly restricted the media from coming closer to the scene.
Moreso,one of the caterpillar operators who communicated with our reporter said they were hired to pull down the structure because it was illegally positioned in their own land by the outgone Imo Governor.
However, in an interaction with Governor Emeka Ihedioha’s Chief Press Secretary,CPS,Mr.Chibuike Onyeukwu, said the govt.of the day in Imo State led by his principal, Chief Ihedioha is not aware of the demolition.
Meanwhile, so many Imolites who reacted to the incident described “Akachi” as a demonic hand, which must be destroyed for the freedom and liberation of the entire Imo people,even as many described Rochas Okorocha as an occult man.
It would be further recalled that “Akachi” means so many things especially on the negative part.
