Ahead of Tomorrow’s Protest In Asaba, Delta Police Invites Fejiro Oliver, Prince Kpokpogri

Ahead of tomorrow’s protest against former Governor Uduaghan  by  Diaspora United Against Looters and Coalition of Human Rights Defenders the Nigerian Police has invited the duo of Fejiro Oliver and Prince Kpokpogri who are the anchor of the protest for a meeting with the Delta State Police at the State Police headquarters in Asaba.

As gathered by this medium,  this afternoon, the Nigerian Police, Area Commander of the Warri Command  called one of the conveners of the protest Fejiro Oliver on phone and demanded to know when Fejiro  would be in Asaba, according to Mr. Oliver, the Area Commander’s calls  was based on their planned protest tomorrow.

Subsequently, another phone call came from one Hamza on behalf of the Commissioner of Police Delta  State, and the message was that the commissioner wants to see them concerning tomorrow’s protest.

Mr. Oliver also stated that he asked that they send a representative if they can’t make it, however Fejiro stated that he replied that they will be there.

However, it was gathered that the essence of the meeting with the Police is prevail on them to shelve the protest.

Universalreporters247.com learnt that if at the end of the day, they can’t prevail on them to shelve the protest, they will be detained, on spurious charges emanating from a petition against them allegedly from the former Governor.

However, while speaking with one of the conveners, Fejiro Oliver he said; “No amount of intimidation by the police can stop this protest from going on tomorrow. Coordinators in Nigeria and abroad are all set to go ahead with it tomorrow should Prince Kpokpogri and I be locked up today. We have carried few cloths with us to sleep in the cell if need be. “
