It was a black Thursday in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State as aggrieved workers held Acting Director Perssonel Management hostage over their three months salaries arrears.

 

It was a carnival of assault as the aggrieved workforce numbering over Sixty promised to disrupt the presentation of the 2021 appropriation bill by the Council chairman, Rabo Sani.

The workers expressed discontentment over the way and manner they were treated with disdain, given the Acting DPM an ultimatum of five hours to pay them their backlog of salaries even with the directive by Governor Abdullahi Sule that all Local Government staff should be paid their salaries before 31st December,2020.=

 

The DPM was held hostage leading to the delay in the presentation of the 2021 appropriation bill to the Legislative Council.
