The above were inscriptions written in placards carried by members of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, Nasarawa State Wing protesting over illegal deduction by the Chief Judge, Justice Suleiman Dikko
The twist of event after the visit of the national president of JUSUN, Marwan Mustapha to end the lingering strike embarked by the Union failed, as the impasses continued.
The national vice president, South South, George Sokari described the strike as legal to press home their demands of their members who are wallowing in hunger and squalor due to non-payment of salaries by the top management staff.
He said that workers must persist on the struggle, Sokari during the peaceful protest at the premises of the High court ,appealed to security agencies to be civil in their approach.
He said; “Strike is legitimate in Civil Service, urging the top shots in Nasarawa Judiciary to take what belongs them and leave what belong to the Civil Servants.
“Take your millions and leave our Kobo to us”.
Also speaking during a press conference, the national Public Relations Officer of JUSUN, Comrade Koin Selepreye urged all their members to stay at home while negotiation is ongoing.
“We gave them 7 days ultimatum to meet our demands or risk total shutdown of government activities in the State.
The ultimatum is coming barely few days to the presidential election.
Nasarawa State chapter of JUSUN, it would be recalled embarked on strike in November 2018 over illegal deductions.
The State Chairman of the Union, Jimoh Musa while reacting over the sacking of 20 JUSUN staff by the Judicial Service Commission.
He described the dismissal as null and void as known of his members including himself were served with query letter.
