Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke has lauded Osun Development Association (ODA) for its contributions to growth and development of Osun State.
Speaking at the the foundation laying of ceremony of ODA House at at ODA Secretariat, Oke-Pupa, Osogbo, the Governor noted that ODA remains a credible platform for mobilising citizens at home and in the diaspora towards the development of Osun State over the years.
Repressed by the state Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Rev. Bunmi Jenyo, the Governor said the foundation laying of the ODA House is not just a physical project but a strong symbol of unity, vision, and commitment to the progress of Osun State.
He commended ODA for its consistent engagement in community development, advocacy, and social responsibility. “ODA has continued to complement government efforts through initiatives that promote education, social cohesion, youth engagement and support for community-based projects. Your interventions have helped to amplify the voices of our people and attract goodwill and resources to Osun State. This commitment is commendable and worthy of recognition”, he said.
The Governor added “the decision to embark on the construction of a permanent ODA House further demonstrates your long-term vision. This facility will serve as a centre for coordination, dialogue, planning and partnership. It will also strengthen your capacity to engage government, development partners and stakeholders in a more structured and impactful manner.”
“Let me assure you that our administration recognises and values the contributions of ODA. We are open to collaborations and partnerships that align with our shared goal of a prosperous and peaceful Osun State. As we lay the foundation of this ODA House today, I urge all members to see it as a call to renewed service. Let this project inspire greater unity and impact in your engagements. I commend the leadership and members of the Osun Development Association for their foresight, dedication, and unwavering commitment to Osun State. I wish this project timely completion and lasting relevance”, the Governor said.
The Chairman of Osun Development Association, Dr. Segun Aina, the Chairman Planning Committee, Dr. Bamidele Alimi, Professor Olu Aina, Arc Goke Omigbodun and the Chairman, Building Committee were among prominent personalities at the event.
While speaking, Dr. Segun Aina said ODA CSR Initiative targeted teachers considering their roles in human capital development. He said the association also planned to establish industrial parks for economic development in the state.
He said members of the association were committed to support teachers by motivating them towards development of education and human capital resources in Osun State.
Aina charged teachers in the state to always show love for their students towards attainment of the global standards.
