ADC Presidential: Atiku Confident Of Winning 2027, Dismisses Tinubu’s Primary Vote Figures

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, has commended members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) for turning out in large numbers during the party’s presidential primary election in Yola, the Adamawa State capital.

Atiku spoke shortly after casting his vote at his Ajiya Ward polling unit in Yola during the exercise.

Speaking with journalists, the former Vice President expressed confidence that the ADC would emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.

“I am impressed with the large turnout. It shows that the people have embraced democracy and that democracy has come to stay,” he said.

Atiku also dismissed claims surrounding the over ten million votes reportedly secured by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the APC presidential primaries, describing the figures as exaggerated.

“People sat somewhere and manufactured the figures. The number recorded by President Tinubu is not a threat to the African Democratic Congress (ADC),” he stated.

Commenting on the internal challenges within the ADC, Atiku said crises are common in political parties and would not prevent the party from winning the 2027 elections.

He urged Nigerians to ensure their votes count by supporting the ADC in the next general elections, stressing that the country needs a new direction to overcome its present political, social, economic and security challenges.
