The African Democratic Congress ADC, governorship Candidate for Plateau State Hon Richard Ponkap Bature has urged Governor Simon Bako Lalong to respect the voice of the people of Plateau state and reverse the Local Government election to reflect the mandate of electorates.

Bature made this disclosure at the party secretariat on Saturday while condemning the spark of crises and destruction of properties of innocent citizens in Jos.

According to him, based on what he witnessed after a peaceful election in the state the exercise was very peaceful and also the collections across was done in an orderly manner.

Bature lamented that he was on his way to Jos, around Mangu Local Government Area where the road was blocked for several hours, you see the EOs couldn’t be found anywhere when they are still collecting wards and councils result, but at midnight of the exercise he alleged that Governor Simon Lalong upturned the results and announced it in favour of the ruling APC which potent danger to our democracy.

The ADC Guber frowned at the way the Governor went on to swear-in the council Chairmen in spite of the ongoing protest by aggrieved stakeholders of the various political parties on Wednesday.

He showed his dissatisfaction with the government action in Plateau state by calling on the government to respect tenets of democracy which their voice didn’t reflect in the council results.
