The Accountant General of Nasarawa State, Hon. Dr. Musa Ahmed Muhammed, was in Asaba, Delta State to join the jubilant Nasarawa Amazons after their stunning victory in the 2026 Federation Cup Final.
The “Solid Babes” defeated Heartland Queens of Owerri to lift the prestigious trophy, bringing pride to Nasarawa State.
“You Have Made Nasarawa State Proud” Immediately after the final whistle, Baraden Nasarawa stormed the dressing room to celebrate with the players and officials.
He described the win as a reward for hard work, discipline, and the support of the Governor Abdullahi A. Sule-led administration.
“I am here on behalf of His Excellency, Governor Abdullahi A. Sule, to congratulate you for this wonderful performance. You have made Nasarawa State proud.
“Winning the Federation Cup is not easy, but you showed character and determination,” Barade said.
He assured the team of continued Government support, adding that the victory will further motivate the administration to invest more in sports development.

The Accountant General praised the coaching crew, management, and players for their resilience throughout the tournament.
“Congratulations Nasarawa Amazons. This trophy belongs to the good people of Nasarawa State. Go back home as champions,” he added.
The players and officials expressed gratitude to the State Government for its support, noting that the presence of top Government officials in Asaba boosted their morale.

The victory sparked celebrations across Lafia and other parts of Nasarawa State, with fans hailing the Amazons for flying the State’s flag high on the national stage.
