The Acting Rector, Isa Mustapha Agwai I, Polytechnic Lafia,Dr.Nurudeen Maifata has admonished students of the institution to accord topmost priority to their studies than leisure in order to complement the efforts of Governor Abdullahi Sule.
Maifata gave the disclosure when the executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Scholarship Board, Hajiya Sa’adatu Yahaya paid him a courtesy visit preceding the commencement of bursary screening for students of Nasarawa State studying at various institutions across the country.
The Acting Rector added that to compliment Governor Abdullahi Sule became necessary considering the hardship being experienced by the people of the state and the country in general which he noted that Government at all levels are working tirelessly to manage it.
Welcoming the Executive Secretary Nasarawa State Scholarship Board, Acting Rector, Isa Mustapha Agwai l Polytechnic, Lafia, Dr. Maifata said Governor Sule is a student-friendly Governor who has the interest of the students at heart.
The Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Scholarship Board, Sa’adatu Yahaya said they were at the Isa Mustapha Agwai l Polytechnic, Lafia, for the screening of indigenous students for bursary allowances approved by Governor Abdullahi Sule.
He said necessary arrangement has been completed for the screening of qualified students for bursary allowances.
