“How can a media aide lie openly like this, the questions I and the people of Bauchi will want Yakubu Ibn Mohammed to answer are these; when the Open letters were written was it addressed to the Kano State House of Assembly? Was there anywhere in the content of the letter that made mention of Kano State Government?
“Is he now telling us that Kano State Police of Commissioner was aware of the arrest of Yakubu Jibirin? Even when it was reliably gathered that the Bauchi State Police Command that went to Kano to arrest Yakubu never took permission from the Commissioner of Police Kano, a directive that they supposed to undertake before arresting Yakubu, an anti- corruption advocate in the state who pleaded anonymity stated.”
“If really it was the Kano State Police Command that arrested Yakubu Jibirin as stated by the SA Media to the Governor, why then was Yakubu arraigned by Bauchi State Courts, why he was not arraigned Kano State Courts.
“During the Court Proceedings, we all witnessed that the lawyers were from the office of the Director for Public Prosecution of the Ministry of Justice Bauchi, even their witnesses the brought were from the Government office, a Director from the Government House was among the person that came to testify, also a police officer from the Bauchi State Police Command was among the persons that testified,” the anti-corruption advocate stated.
