845 Patients Receive Free Medical Care During Community Health Outreach In Adamawa State

A total of 845 patients received free medical treatment during a one-day health outreach organized in Mayo-Farang community, Adamawa State.
The initiative was sponsored by Binos Dauda Yaroe, senator representing the Southern Senatorial District of the state, as part of his ongoing commitment to fulfill campaign promises and improve the well-being of his constituents.
The outreach aimed to deliver accessible healthcare to underserved groups, including the elderly, low-income families, and individuals with chronic conditions.
A dedicated team of volunteer doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers provided a range of services such as general consultations, dental care, eye examinations, blood pressure checks, diabetes screening, and health education.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Adediran Charles, Lead Consultant of the Medical Team, confirmed that 845 patients were treated at no cost, with 21 surgeries successfully conducted.
He credited the success of the outreach to the professionalism and dedication of the medical personnel who traveled from various parts of the country to participate.
“Every service offered here is completely free,” Dr. Charles said. “We distributed over 1,000 cards and attended to both medical and surgical cases, including hernia, appendicitis, and body lumps. Patients received consultations, medications, lab tests, ultrasound scans, and surgeries all at no cost.”
Moddibo Maigari, the Facility Manager of the Mayo-Farang Primary Healthcare Centre, praised Senator Yaroe’s efforts and called on other political leaders to emulate the gesture.
“Health is wealth. Providing basic needs, especially healthcare, is one of the best ways to support the masses.” Maigari added.
In their separate remarks, some of the beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude following their successful treatments.
Rahab Agabus said her child, who had suffered from a hernia for five years, finally received the surgery he needed.
“We couldn’t afford hospital care for years,” she said. “But today, thanks to Senator Yaroe, my son was operated on for free and is now healthy.”
Another parent, Mal. Muhammadu Mayo-Farang, whose child also received life-changing surgery, was overwhelmed with emotion, also thanked Binos for coming to their aid
