Over 7000 People Benefits From Nigerian First Lady /Al-Makura Rice, Foodstuff

The arrays of downtrodden women and physically impaired persons estimated to about 7000 has benefited from the free donation of foodstuff by the first lady Aisha Buhari is a clear indication that hunger looms in the land as scores slumped during the distribution which held at Lafia square.

The state governor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura while donation the food item attributed the present calamity facing the country to the wastages of yesteryears caused by the then ruling People’s Democratic Party.

He identified maladministration and recklessness as the legacies of the PDP that ruled for four consecutive times, saying the present All progressives Congress inherited a country at the pangs of collapse with infrastructural decay.

Al-Makura who represented the first lady berates the PDP for embezzlement of the nation’s wealth which he said translate to the current predicament leading to the nonpayment of workers salary, the governor opined that the food item would serve as a palliative measure to cushion the effect of hunger that ravaged the country.

Tanko Al-Makura appealed to Nigerians to remain calm with the APC regime under president Muhammadu Buhari, he also called on workers in the state to be patient with the downward review of salary, saying the steps taking was necessary due to the present economic turmoil.

He described this as a period that workers may not get their full salary, he in addition hinted that the disbursed relief material would capture the spirit of the moment, the governor on his part also donated rice and cash to the beneficiaries.

The governor disclosed that the new salary table is to ensure sustainability by carrying everybody along as he said the downward review would carter for drugs to our hospitals, provision of instructional material to our schools as well will give room for the construction of bridges and culverts, he added.

I’m really overwhelm from head to toes, I’m satisfied as i found myself in the midst of people who were segregated, we are in the month of Ramadan and the spirit of this period is sharing which we are doing today” he stated.

The governor said he will extend his hands of fellowship to the downtrodden in Nasarawa North and western senatorial zones respectively.
