- As Jarma Ward Head Removed For Adultry In Jigawa
A Chief Magistrate Court in Jigawa has sentenced one 57 -year old Ya’u Ubale of Kirikassama Local Government area of Jigawa to one year in Prison for defiling a 4 year old child.
Justice Abubakar Jibrim who sentenced Ya’u Ubale of Kirikassama Local Government who was in Kafin Hausa working as a tractor mechanic said that the court was satisfied with the report given by the Police Prosecutor Muhammed who arraigned the suspect before the court and the suspect had confessed that he committed the act with four year old girl named Hafsat Adamu of Tambirawa Quarters in Kafin Hausa local government area of Jigawa State.
He explained that he served the culprit one year in Prison to serve as a lesson to others because the nature of the offense is contrary to section 285 of the Jigawa state Penal Code as he also said the court was reliably gathered that the suspect has been in that act for years as accused of allegedly spoiling under age children but God so kind that this time he was exposed.
Making his confessional statement, the suspect said he uses Twenty Naira or Ten Naira and sometimes he uses sweet candies note to deceive underage girls, but that in the case of Hafsat, while Hasfat was playing with two other kids, he said he came gave her Ten Naira to buy Sugarcane in a bid to lure her and when the girl came close to him he carried her and placed her in between his two legs and start using his penis to penetrate into his vagina until he released.
In the process of satisfying his desire one Malam Adamu Ibrahim of the same quarters apprehended him with the help of people nearby and handed him over to the police.
Sources within the community said people in the area had made a series of complaints against the suspect, but since there was no evidence to prove him guilty, nothing was done in that particular period but this time many people were jubilating with the action of the court.
In a related development the Ward-Head of Jarma Quarters of Bulangu District in Kafin Hausa local government was removed from his post for allegedly impregnating a 15 year old girl name withheld. The Ward-Head Malam Umaru Chobe it was reliably gathered has been seriously warned by the village head of Bulangu before for several report level against him but he always denied them.
The Village Head Of Bulangu Malam Ibrahim Shehu confirmed the removal of Umaru Chobe from his position as ward head of Jarma because he impregnated a 15 year old girl as allowing such person as a traditional leader will spoil the name of traditional rulers in the area.
The village head said that a new Ward Head will be announce from the emirate council as already some persons have indicated their interest for the position.
