550 Youth Trained On Use Of POS, Given Seed Grants In Jigawa

A total number of 550 youth drawn from the 27 local government council in Jigawa were trained on the use of Point of Sale machines and were as well given a token of N50, 000 to start POS Business in the State.

 

The Special Assistant to the Governor on Economic Empowerment Shehu Muhammed Mujaddadi said each person will acquire knowledge on how to use the POS machine.

 

Mujaddadi said the target of the government is to create permanent and sustainable jobs for the teaming youths in the State.

 

According to the Governor’s aide, 235 youth were trained under Guaranty Trust bank while 270 are currently receiving training under Polaris bank.

 

Mujaddadi said more youths will be recruited under Unity bank and JAIZ bank as this will help to create jobs among the teeming populace.

 

He said the essence of the training is to empower the youth as agency bankers.

He charged the beneficiaries to utilize what they learned and to always be careful while discharging their duty.
