50% Of Retirees Suffer From Stroke Related Diseases After Retirement, Chairman Plateau Pension Board

Plateau state Pension Board Executive Secretary ,Mr Lohfa Dashe has said no fewer than 50% retired civil servants in Nigeria developed stroke related diseases after retirement and non-compliance to gratuity and pension by state ,federal governments .

He stated this in an exclusive interview with our reporter at the Plateau State Pension Board office in Jos.

Barr. Dashe expressed shocked that out of 7,649 recent increases of retirees in 2017 about 50 pensioners have been paralyzed with stroke while still waiting for their pension and gratuity allowances in Plateau state.

In order further make comment whether Plateau state government has released Paris club funds for their pension payment, Barr.Lohfa Dashe explained that no funds has been release or kobo was given from the Plateau state government.

He blamed the pensioners that they are very terrible people for not appreciating Lalong , in pension the governor is trying ,Governor Lalong promised of using Paris club funds to settle their outstanding which he has redeem his pledge.

“We have try our very best in view of the recession, honestly speaking the pensioners are not honest to Lalong, we have cleared all the monthly payment of schedule 25th to 26th in the state”, he noted.

The total of 7,232 are yet to receive with another additional 417 to be added in September, 2017 ,the Jang regime were paying only 288 from 2011 making increase 715 to be place on pension .

Dashe appealed to all pensioners to exercise patient with the Lalong led administration due the lean resources in the country.
