34 yr Old Anas Haruna Arrested For Raping 10, 11 Year Old Girls In Jigawa State By Umar Faruq Usman,Dutse
The Operatives of the Nigeria Civil Defense Corps [NSCDC] in Jigawa state Command has arrested a 34 year old man Anas Haruna for allegedly raping and defiling two girls aged ten and eleven years old respectively, the two girls are whose name are withheld were hawkers and were raped at Walawa quarters in Hadejia City.
The state Commandant of the Corps Dr. Muhammad Gidado revealed this to news men in Dutse over the weekend. Dr. Gidado said that their heinous act was uncovered when one of the girls started to showed some signs of being raped and also resisted the preliminary treatment, however finally they were taken to Hadejia General Hospital where she where she tested HIV positive .
According to Dr. Gidado, he said preliminary intelligent investigations carried out by the corps, indicates that the Anas Haruna was not the only person who carried out the attack.
Three others who were involved are still at large, they include; Isa Wamo age 32, Mla Nokia age 34 and Mr. Crossy age 35.
‘Our investigation shows that one of the suspects was an indigene of Niger state and ran back to his home state ,while one of them ran to Lagos and while one is said to be hiding in a remote village of Zamfara state,’ he noted.
‘Yes they ran but cannot escape justice, we going to fish them out where ever they ran to and bringing them to book;’ Gidado further explained.
The commandant disclosed that the victims confessed that Anas and his cohorts has been defiling them for the past two years adding that the claim was affirmed by the suspect [Anas ].
He said the victims revealed that the suspects use to give them sometimes not always the sum of N5o or N100 to lure them to have anal and virginal sex with them in an empty apartment.
Dr. Gidado said the arrested suspects are cooling their heads in their cell as the issue is being investigated and then warned parents and guardians to desist from exposing their little daughters and wards to hawking as it breed total moral decadence and terminal illnesses as well as several vices.
