It was the end of the road for 33 corps Members in Nasarawa state fingered to repeat their one-year mandatory service for absconding from their places of primary assignment.
Other reasons for the affected corps members to repeat one year also include indiscipline and other related issues during the service year.
The Nasarawa state coordinator of the scheme, Mr Abdullahi Jikamshi, revealed this in Lafia, during the passing out parade (POP) for the 2021 Batch “A” corps members.
Jikamshi hinted that the affected corps members would repeat their one-year mandatory service
“The one-year mandatory service year will be extended depending on the gravity of the acts of indiscipline each and every one of them committed.
The governor, Abdullahi Sule, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports Development, Amb Lucky Yargwa, commended the outgoing corps members for their sacrifice.
He has charged the outgoing 2021 Batch A Stream 1 NYSC members to be good ambassadors and exploit the goldmine in agriculture, manufacturing, and other legitimate business.
