Wase Local Government Headquarters stood still as PDP received 3,000 defectors from APC
The reception which took place near PDP OfficeBaya Pada, Wase Hqtrs witnessed huge turnouts of people across the four districts in Wase LGA namely Bashar, Lambs, Kadarko and Wase .
Wase PDP LGA Chairman, Hon. Nasiru Abba said he is glad that after the judgment, Wase is the first to organize such a great rally. He said Wase belongs to the PDP and if elections are to be conducted today, the party will win. He later said PDP in Plateau State will start recording its victory in future electns in Wase LGA.
Hon. Philip Jwey, the PDP Chairman B/Ladi and Chairman of PDP Chairmen in the State said he is glad of the gathering and believe from Councillorship to Presidential election, PDP will clearly win. He said the ruling APC are temporal tenants who will be sent out soon. State Youth Leader, APC has thrown Nigeria into untold hardships and it is time for PDP to take Nigerians out of the abject poverty apc brought. Hon. Amos Gombi thanked the Chairman of PDP Wase LGA, his exco and the people of Southern Zone for winning the hearts of the decampees.
Representative of Alh. Dr. Sule Lamido, Alh. Umar Kyari Gitau who is his S. A. on Media said PDP remains the largest party in Africa. He said the decamping of the APC members in Wase is a warning in signal to the governor and president; thereby they should start preparing their handover notes. Lamido will remain in PDP no matter the times. Lamido is seeking their supports to be president. He said the history of PDP is not complete without the mention of Plateau State. He further said Buhari can never beat Lamido in an election and Dr. Lamido is ready to defeat Buhari and take Nigeria out of the mess.
Representative of Sen. J.T. Useini, Hon. Henry Dangata said with the gathering and the number of decampees he is seeing, victory is sure for the PDP.
Hon. Abubakar Moh’d Badu (Dan Malikin Wase) former Chairman Wase LGC and Commissioner for Information, PDP remains a party that abhors the people being in poverty but brought great riches, prosperity, growth, development and achievements to Wase, Plateau and Nigeria but the APC has destroyed that within two years of it existence in governance. He told the State and Local Government pdp Chairman that some of the decampees burnt his house because of his love and resolve to support the party but he has forgiven them. He said PDP brought prosperity to the people of Wase and made them economically independent but APC has taken the riches out of their hands.
The Local Government Chairman handed over the three thousand decampees to the State EXCOs and said more are underway. The State Deputy Chairman accepted them and asked them to feel at home and work for the progress and victory of the party.
Hon. Theophilus Dakas Shan, the North Central Deputy Chairman of PDP said APC is a disgraceful yet shameless party that has thrown the country into a state of anarchy, injustices and total disrespect for the rule of law. He called on the people to support PDP to bring back the lost glory of the Country. He welcomed the decampees and tasks them to be committed to building the party as well as its prosperity.
Leader of the decampees, Mr. Dauda Lawal who spoke on behalf of the decampees said they decamped because AAPC lack the capacity to lead Nigeria to prosperity and it is a party of deception, blackmail, injustices, total disrespect for the rules of law and has thrown Nigerians into abject poverty because of lack of sound economic policies.
He said they are in PDP to join hands to ensure victories at the forthcoming Local Government elections and other subsequent. He said the ruling party is only good at blame game while unable to fulfill its campaign promises to Nigeria and have destroyed the good legacies/sound foundations of growth and development PDP laid. He thanked the PDP in Wase for the warmth reception accorded them and promised not to disappoint their new party. He said they are more than 3,000 as others joined them after their declaration and told the people that more are underway.
