269 Senior Police Officers Promoted In Bauchi, Command Decorates The Newly Promoted (See List Inside)

Following approval by the Police Service Commission for the promotion of senior police officers on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Abubakar Adamu NPM, mni.

To the effect, the Commissioner of Police Bauchi State Command, CP Lawan Tanko Jimeta, psc, has today decorated 269 eligible Senior Officers of the Command to their new rank as follows:

1. Promotion of 15 Officers from the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police to Superintendent of Police (DSP – SP). This includes the Command Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), among other notable Officers including SP Ahmed Mohammed Wakil, SP Agwadu Titus Ilya, SP David Silas and SP M. Goni Aliyu to mention a few.
2. Promotion of 63 Officers from the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police to Deputy Superintendent of Police (ASP – DSP) which includes DSP Roseline Okoronkwo, DSP Hassan Hamidu, DSP M.G Hadejia among others
3. Also, Decoration of 62 unconfirmed Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP II ASP I). They are ASP Victoria Danbaki, ASP Usman Gambo, ASP Ahmed Sule among others
4. Promotion of 129 Officers from Inspector to Assistant Superintendent of Police (Inspector – ASPII). They include ASP Idi Kida, ASP Zainab Sharif, ASP Bala Munkaila Jibo, ASP Munkuwe Joel to mention a few.

Addressing the newly promoted officers after the decoration, the CP informed the officers that their promotion is in line with IGP’s agenda towards boosting the morale of Police personnel for effective service delivery.

He also emphasised that the process was strictly based on merit, seniority and dedication to duty.

He congratulated the officers and urged them to reciprocate the gesture done to them by the IGP by redoubling their efforts towards fighting crimes and criminality in the state and the nation at large.

Responding, on behalf of the newly promoted officers, SP David Silas, thanked the IGP and the Police Service Commission for finding them worthy of promotion and also promised to be diligent and more professional in the discharge of their duties while ensuring never to disappoint the Nigerian Police Force.
