21 Year Old Abba Haruna Arrested For Fraud In Jigawa

The police in Kiyawa local government area of Jigawa state have arrested 21 years old Abba Haruna of Atafi quarters in Kiyawa local government for duping the public in Kiyawa in the name of Islamic support from Qatar. 

The Jigawa State Police Command confirmed the story through their spokesman ASP Lawan Adamu Shisu saying that the suspect is a crook who specialised in cheating people under the guise of Islamic support.

The police gathered that Abba Haruna who is an indigene of Hadejia local government confessed that he did the same in various local governments where he usually connived with other people to cheat the public.

It was reliably gathered that he did it in Hadejia, Malam Madori kaugama Miga, and Jahun before he was arrested in kiyawa .

Abba told the police that he usually deceived people after bringing a truck of sand to confirm that he is a contractor that will rebuild their mosque or Islamic school, by doing that he will remove the roofed zinc and all valuable materials including windows and doors and he will sell them, after which he will completely disappear.

He said he did it in Kiyawa at Unguwar Gabas where he dislodged all the roofed zinc and removed all windows and doors, unfortunately for him when he went to another location trying to do the same, but the Imam of that mosque became very suspicious of him.

That was when the Iman reported the matter to the police and the police invited the suspect, where the committee who oversees the other mosques that he burgled made their complaints before the police.

Following an extensive investigation by the Police, Abba confessed to committing the crime.

The police public relations officer confirmed that the suspect has already been remanded by the chief magistrate court in Kiyawa.

When contacted the District Head of Kiyawa and also Dan Masanin Dutse Alhaji Adamu Aliyu Kiyawa said the suspect is a 419 person who always in the habit of duping people in the name of Islamic support from Qatar.

He added that the suspect before his arrest has done it at various places including his home town Hadejia before his arrest in Kiyawa.
