2025/26 Legal Year: NBA Pledges Commitment To Building Synergy Between The Inner Bar, Bench And Bar

The Chairman of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA, Jos Chapter, Barr. Leah Hassan has pledged their commitment toward strengthening the legal system for the quick dispensation of a smooth ride to justice by also advocating for improved welfare services of Judiciary workers in Plateau State.

Leah Hassan, Esq, spoke on behalf of the three branches of Shendam, Pankshin, and Bukuru at the 2025/26 legal year ceremony held at the High Court of Justice, Jos.

She said that the annual ritual ceremony is to enable them to take stock and reflect and review their commitment to the rule of law because the BAR is so committed to the occasion of measuring the progress of members of the bar and the Bench in discharging their core responsibility of ensuring justice is served.

Hassan, however, explains their unwavering support for the operation between the inner bar, bench, and the bar in delivering justice because we are all officers in the temple of justice for the transformation.

She maintained that the challenges they went through to maintain world-standard adjudication of rules of law, adding justice delay is justice denied, with millions of Nigerians still lacking access to comprehensive judgment.

Leah reiterated that for the country to attain the position of independence of the judiciary in Nigeria the welfare of the JUSUN must be given topmost priority and betterment of all and sundry in the legal system.

She noted that the NBA depends on the cooperation of the jurists as members of the wheel of progress in the progress of the court.

Hassan lamented that there are challenges faced by the members of the Bar in working hard to ensure that justice is served to those who committed crimes against humanity in society, but there are instances of adjournment as the laws are still absolute.
