Nasarawa State Governor,Engr.Abdullahi Alhaji.Sule has promised to fussed his attention on the construction of road network in all book and cranny of the state.
Engr. Sule disclosed this when Alago nation paid him a thanked you visit for nominating and Alago son, Dr. Emmanuel Akabe as his Deputy.
The Governor expressed hope with the support of Alago nation, while reacting over a request by the leader of the delegation, His Royal Highness, the Andoma of Doma,Alhaji.Ahmadu Aliyu Ogah to consider Alago speaking people in times of road network and other key appointments.
The Governor disclosed that he inherited a solid foundation from his predecessor, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, stating that Al-Makura has done a fantastic job during his reign by leaving behind a solid fortress.
Describing Governor Al-Makura as a political father, he said the selection of Dr.Akabe as a Deputy was because of his pedigree, experience, honesty and competence.
He said the coming of Dangote to cultivate 50,000 hectares of rice farm covering Doma and Nasarawa Local Government Areas of the state is good thing to the people of Doma,the host community.
He applauded Alago appointees in his administration for the shower of commitment in moving the state forward.
The Andoma of Doma in his speech lauded the effort of Governor Sule for considering Dr.Akabe as his Deputy .
He assured the Governor of block vote from Alago nation in 2023 election.
“The Alago’s have four representatives at the State Assembly, Chairman NASIEC, Executive Secretary Scholarship Board, Executive Secretary Christian Pilgrim Welfare Board, Head of Service, cabinet members, Advisers and SSA’s.
“I can attest to His Excellency that I’m also a beneficiary of the position of Permanent Secretary”.
The leader of the team decried the condition of roads in border towns of Doma,Keana and other Alago communities sharing boundaries with the neighboring Benue state.
He attributed the condition of Okpatta-Rukubi-Akpanaja route to the rising spate of crimes committed on daily basis by unidentified persons.
“Calling on the state Governor to as matter of urgency bring succor to the affected communities for the sake of peace in the land.
“Alago want His Excellency to Accord impetus to the issues of insecurity within Assakio-Obi road,Obi Junction-Agwatashi road,Agbashi-Akpanaja road”.
