The journey to 2023, Plateau State Chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Chairman, Hon Latep  Dabang has begun with an alleged secret meeting held behind closed door toward promoting an agenda for his own people.

The meeting which was said to be the continuation of the former Governor Joshua Chibe Dariye agenda in Plateau state was to stop the Ngas ,Tarok ,Mwagavul, and Beroms speaking natives from getting closer to the corridor of power.

It would be recalled that former Governor Joshua Dariye who introduced the plan in 1999 brought about the political and economic crisis in Plateau Southern senatorial district where lives and properties were lost in the upheaval sacking many communities and land grabbers claimed ownership of traditional titles of the ghost areas.

However, the conspiracy theory has continued to attract underdevelopment especially in the politics of Plateau state and middle belt assembly.

According to some political pundits in the state, they said; “We have seen Nigeria paralyzing affairs in Plateau State where the game of politics is now truncated by a few serious minority agenda when democracy became a curse instance of a blessing that should not be toyed with as through it governance is constituted.

Some political pundits condemned that any error of bringing the wrong people to the seat of power has its grave consequences particularly in Nigeria where the system makes it difficult to impeach a sitting governor or recall State and National legislators; we see bias minds running the power of government.

The errors made must be borne for four years when replacements or continuity are granted via the ballot and at the polls.

The criteria of voting candidates should be patriotism and competence and not friendship, religion, tribe, zone, and selfish interest.

As we match towards 2023 when we’ll all go to the polls again for another political dispensation, the current All Progressives Congress (APC) chairman Mr. Letep Dabang, has already used his position to strategically set up machinery that will make his dream of becoming the governor a reality, which when it happens, one can only shout GOD SAVE PLATEAU!

The biggest mistake that Plateau can make is to vote him as governor. I am shouting this to be innocent before God of any disaster that will befall Plateau State as a result of Dabang’s leadership concepts that will come to play if voted into power.

Let’s X-ray some of his antecedents to see whether he deserves support from us. The Great Zik of Africa said, “But every road must have an end, and coming events must cast their shadow, and only fools can fail to decipher the handwriting on the wall of destiny.”

Jesus Christ said, “He that is faithful in the little shall be faithful in much.”

With these submissions, we can examine how Dabang runs the APC on the Plateau.

Anyone passing through Jos and sees the APC and PDP secretariats all on Yakubu Gowon Way will think the PDP is the ruling party in the state because it is always having its members doing one thing or the other.

Again the way the PDP keeps its secretariat, is always clean and well kept, unlike the APC under Dabang which looks more of a deserted building by humans over folklore of ghosts tormenting inhabitants, and has become a ballroom floor of rodents and reptiles. What a terrible eyesore.

All the State EXCO of the APC have been gagged and kept in the cooler by Letep. They are redundant and resorted to their personal businesses because the party is totally dysfunctional.

Ask who the deputy chairman, PRO, Auditor, Secretary, and others are, most people don’t know them.

Dabang is hardly found in the office, but always at Golf Club playing golf, while his foot soldiers are defending him saying the party has no funds to organize activities and attend to the needs of its members.

A man that cannot handle a political party cannot govern a state, that’s a fact, except we want to discredit what Christ said, “He that is faithful in the little, shall be faithful in much.” Dabang is not faithful in handling a political party, how can he handle a state?

As he muzzled the mouths of his EXCO, that will be the fate of his commissioners and other political appointees.

They will be redundant and by extension the entire state. The civil service too, which is the engine room of government will face the same fate.

By going to Golf Club because he lacks solutions to the constraints of running a party, he will do worse as governor. If the state lacks funds, instead of generating ideas to boost the economy, he will run away and hide in a golf club.

I don’t know whether the golf club will be large enough to contain him this time.

The excuse that the party has no money to maintain its secretariat, thus looking deserted, shows he has no brain to bring a major turnaround in the midst of scarcity. Good leaders are seen when they turn misfortunes to fortunes, Jerry Rawlings of Ghana is an example.

Peter Tosh said, “There is always a solution to be found.” The solution can only be found when sought. A man who runs away from his family because of problems is not a man.

Therefore no right-thinking man will support someone who has no solutions to the problems of a political party to be a governor.

A major scary feature of Dabang is he dreads exposed patriotic people, he cherishes blind loyalists to enable him to mislead them into the political abyss.

Since the assumption of office as chairman, there is no accountability of how much came to the party coffers and how much went out.

These are just tips of the iceberg. More shall be revealed soon.
