As part ensuring that the most credible person becomes the next Governor of Imo State,the leadership of the “Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria,PFN,Imo State Chapter,under the mandate of the State Chairman,Bishop Ezennaya Amobi-Egbo,yesterday, Thursday Jan.31st 2019, organized what the fellowship described as an interactive session for all the guber candidates for the 2019 governorship polls from across all the political parties in the state.
The session which attracted about 7 (seven) Imo guber candidates took place at the auditorium of the United Church of Christ Int’l.Owerri,at No.72 Onumunu Street Owerri,Imo State,and ended successfully with great jubilation from all those who participated.
Some of the political parties guber candidates who were in attendance includes:Rt.Hon.Ike C.Ibeh,of the Independent Democrats,ID,party, Prof.Canice Sainte,of JMPP, and Prof.Alphonsus Ekwereike,of the ANRP, Mazi Okey Ezeh,of SDP, Rev.Barr.Ikenna Emmanuel,of CAP,others are: Rev.Engr.Tony Mba,of ASD,and Barr.Ngozi Olehi,of AGA.
In their respective display of manifestos and blueprints,Barr.Ike Ibeh,expressed hopeful that with him as the next Imo Governor that the State would be driven to her promised land of fulfillment,were unemployment shall be a forgotten history.
He appealed to the people of the State to vote for him and therefore promised not to disappoint the church and the people,if elected,even as he assured good governance.
Prof.Canice Asonye,told the members of association and Imolites that his administration,if given the power as governor shall attract rapid economic development to the people. Prof.Asonye,therefore called on the masses to vote for him as governor.
Prof.Alphonsus Ekwereike,said his government,when elected as governor shall definitely attract foreign investors that would assist his leadership bring back the lost glory of the State.
He said his government shall carry all reasonable stakeholders along to move the State forward.
Also,the Mazi Okey Ezeh,said that his government shall fight unemployment,insecurity,boosts the State economy by making it the fastest state.
He blamed the previous leadership of the State for their inability to combat corruption.
Okey Ezeh said that his government will stabilize the Imo income under 100 days in office through his peaceful projects.
Mr.Ezeh however condemned the hieght of prostitution in the state,maintained that Imo remains the capital of harlots in the entire South-Eastern of the country,but assured that the State under his watch as governor must be restored.
He credited the Imo underdevelopment to the out going government for their inability to find solutions,and vowed to correct all errors of the govt.via value- chain creation.
He touched the area of Agriculture,Education,Security,Health,Youths empowerment,rule of law,health and human capital development,even as he pointed out that Imo need people with morality and competency to grow like other states in the world.
In his own words,Rev.Barr.Ikenna Emmanuel,of the Change Advocacy Party,CAP,said his commitment anchored on a platform of faster,fix and finish all abandoned Imo projects by the previous governors,which according to him would be very possible within his first 100 days in the office of the Imo State Governor,when elected in 2019.
He said his govt.shall fix,activate,synergize in effectiveness and transform the state with the involvement of respected Imo technocrats to cut down cost of expenses in the state.
“Criminals,obtaining by tricks persons and scammers should not allowed to rule or govern the state. I am not corrupt. I am a clergyman and a lawyer who fears God with the wealth of knowledge and mental capacity and leadership sagacity in me,I will offer good governance to Imo people. I can give solutions to the major problems of the State. I will bring back professionalism to the state,especially the Medical and Health sector. I will engage fully on industrialization and make the recycling of plastics visible. Agriculture will bounce back. I will cut down all the illegal exit of Imo resources. Above all,the Kingdom perspective agenda via the christendom in the state would be one of my most priorities as nation builder,I shall enhance access to lands for churches,so that the name of God would be preached to the whole world from Imo as christian state”,Rev.Emmanuel submitted.
Rev.Engr.Tony Mba,of the Alliance of Social Democrat,ASD,said his govt.when he emerged as the next Imo Governor shall restore the glory of God in the government house.
The United States American based religious leader described the out going govt.of Governor Rochas Okorocha as govt.of Satanism that believes in building roundabout and circle shaped projects in the State.
” I will constantly organize prayer summit with would be powered by the govt.as part of covenant with God. I will establish and build Covenant Square instead of Freedom Square or any other square. I will rename the Imo Govt.House (Douglas House,People’s House) to Covenant House. By so doing,I will pull down every demonic stronghold initiated by Governor Okorocha through 40 days fasting and prayer which would be powered by the govt.under my watch”,Rev.Mba insisted.
He moreso stated that the education system shall be reversed for the interest of Imo people with he described as education for Christ.
Furthermore,the Barr.Ngozi Olehi,of the All Grassroots Alliance,AGA,said his govt.would be focusing on Accountability,Transparency and Rule of Law ( Due Process).
Meanwhile,the Chief Host of the Imo guber interactive session,Bishop Ezennaya Amobi Egbo,expressed satisfaction with level of their blueprints and appealed to them to endeavour to implement all they have told the church and the masses.
The Bishop of UCC International Owerri,however charged them (guber candidates) who honoured the invitation from Imo PFN and prayed God Almighty to give them the strength to win their elections.
He called on Imolites to go and obtain their Voters Cards which he described as a strong electrol power to vote out wicked government and vote into power the most credible man or woman who have the fear of God to make the people rejoice.
Bishop Ezennaya also called on the electrol umpires to ensure free,fair and most transparent polls,come Feb/March 2019.
Highlights of the event was the divine prayer of endorsement made on all of those contesting be elected as Imo Governor in 2019 both those present and absent by the whole congregation.
