As the 2019 general election gathered momentum, the organized labour in Nasarawa state has garner support to the governorship aspiration of the state Deputy Governor, Silas Ali Agara.
Civil servants made their position known at a meeting with the Deputy Governor in Lafia. Comrade, Abdullahi Adela, the State Chairman of Nigeria Labour disclosed this while briefing newsmen at the end of a closed door meeting.
The Labour leader said their decision is based on Hon. Agara’s labour friendly disposition.
Adeka promised to mobilize the entire workers of Nasarawa to support the governorship bid of Silas Agara to succeed the “architect of Modern Nasarawa State”,Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.
The workers Union described the incumbent Deputy Governor as the most preferred candidate.
According to comrade Adeka, “civil servants in Nasarawa state can only anoint aspirant that is labour friendly and not anyone who does not knows the pains of workers ”
“Nasarawa state will do better economically and socially when the people of Agara’s like minds are given the mandate to lead the state”.
The Deputy governor Hon.Silas Ali Agara who summoned the meeting, intimated the labour leaders of his aspiration.
Agara pledge to make workers welfare and pensioners his priority if given the mandate in 2019.
