2019: Maku Sympathize With Civil Servants, Says Hunger Has No Tribal Mark

The former minister of Information, Hon.Labaran Maku has described the current All Progressives Congress as a disaster to the civil servants, Maku said workers in Nasarawa state were turn to beggars even with the quantum of money collected from the central government.

The governorship flagbearer of the All Progressive Grand Alliance stated this during the commissioning and handing over of 1000 capacity seat multi-purpose hall constructed by Majalisan Maccido Andaha Foundation.

The erstwhile federal cabinet member said workers are passing through pains, squalor, stagnation, agony, deprivation with the chunk amount of money collected by Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura from 2011 to date.

“Nasarawa state government collected huge amount of money as bailout one, bailout two, Paris and London Club refund one and two but still workers are in agony”

“The worst is that workers in Nasarawa state are receiving 10% as salary with the over N275bn collected from the Federal Allocation Account Committee from 2011 to 2017”.

Calling on electorate to be mindful of whom to vote in 2019, saying the APC under governor Al-Makura is a disaster to the entire system as farmers no longer go to farm considering farming as the preoccupation of the state.

“Farmers no longer go to farm because of attacks meted on them by Fulani herders this translated to hunger”

“Our emergence as the governor of Nasarawa state in 2019 would end rift between farmers and Fulani nomadic,it would bring good fortune to the backward state”, he added.

Labaran Maku described the Local Government system in Nasarawa state as a dysfunctional third tier of government under Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura.

“Our people should learn from the present happenings under Al-Makura, the current regime in Nasarawa state is using the broom to beat those that voted him to power”.

The former minister assured his teaming supporters of reclaiming the party’s mandate come 2019. As he described the outcome of 2015 governorship election as an injustice done to APGA.
