2015: Okpe Leaders Okay Igbuya For Another Term; Say He Is A Blessing To Delta State

Top Okpe leaders on Sunday described the Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Monday Igbuya as a blessing to the state, while calling on indigenes and non-indigenes residing in Sapele Local Government Area to see him as a role model.

Chairman of Okpe Political Leaders Forum (OPLF), Mr. Darlington Ebireri in a statement issued in Sapele said the leaders praised Hon. Igbuya for protecting the people’s rights through quality representation, job creation and poverty alleviation.

“You have done us proud. All we can do is to acknowledge and thank you in our modest way by asking you to continue in Delta State House of Assembly” the leaders said after a meeting of stakeholders in Okpe kingdom.

The leaders who vowed to support Hon Igbuya come 2015 general election, described his performance in the state assembly as wonderful.

“Igbuya is a good ambassador of Sapele Local Government Area and his performance has spoken volume. He has defended the cause of Sapele at the State Assembly and if given another chance, come 2015, Delta State in general and Sapele Local Government Area in particular will be great” the statement said.

“He will do a lot for the people in terms of legislation that would further unite Delta State and laws that will attract the desired investment into this state, laws that would create employment opportunities and encourage private sector participation in the economy”.

The leaders advised others eyeing the seat to wait till 2019.

We will back him again in 2015 election” the leaders insisted.
