2015: APC Kicks Against Plot To Relocate INEC Office In Bauchi By Masoyi Lusa, Bauchi
The All Progressive Congress (APC) has said the party is ready to resist any attempt to illegally relocate INEC office from its present position in Tafawa-Balewa to Bununu by agents of Yuguda administration
Just as it thundered that the plot to relocate INEC office justify the fear of the PDP with the popularity and acceptance of opposition in the area
Haruna Rikaya the APC chairman Bogoro LGA made assertion while receiving decampees from PDP said, come February 14 election the party will beat the PDP
Rikaya allege that APC has uncovered plot by the ruling party to rig election and it can only be done when the INEC office is relocated out of its present position
According to the chairman APC will not be a party to support in collation and declaration of election results in Bununu when INEC office is situated in Tafawa-Balewa
“We learn that PDP administration is soon approaching the court of law to force INEC national headquarters to back the relocation of its office from Tafawa-Balewa and we believe is a path to war but as APC members we are not ready for violence” said Rikaya
Rikaya stress that relocation of any federal government agency can only be relocated on issues bordering on national interest and collective interest of host communities not a windfall group of individual as agents of PDP.
The APC condemn the ruling party for allegedly placing Tafawa-Balewa as a trouble zone when even there is peace that can guarantee free and fair election which it claim there is no peace in the area
Rikaya therefore challenge politician against inciting crises ahead of the election saying APC is a non-violent party
Speaking to newsmen leader of the decampees Hon Malko former deputy chairman of Bogoro LGA said they decided to dumps the PDP for lack of justice
Malko also added that they defected to the APC to protect the nascent democracy from being truncated and to effect the necessary change.
