16,000 Students In Public Secondary Schools Benefit From NSG For NECO -Nasarawa Commissioner of Education

Nasarawa State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule to bring succor to parents has put in place a mechanism to enhance education in the State by paying registration of 16,000 students for the National Examination Council.

The Commissioner, Hon John Mamman gave the revelation during a media Chat with selected Journalists at his abode in Shabu.

Honorable John Mamman however explained that those to be benefited from the gesture of the State Governor was meant only for indigent students in public Secondary schools in Nasarawa State.

The Commissioner warned principals of public Secondary schools in the State to ensure that only qualified students benefit from the gesture of Engineer Abdullahi Sule.

“We have taken stock of 16,000 students across public schools in Nasarawa State and we arrived at this figure of 16,000 beneficiaries, we achieved this from the list of students who sat for mock Examination, He added.

“We would not condone any act of distraction by parents bringing their children outside the State as beneficiaries”.

He called on the State to support Governor Abdullahi Sule’s good work.

Recall that, The State Governor, Engineer Abdullahi Sule approved the payment of NECO fees to students of public Secondary schools in the State.

The Governor in his speech recently maintained that only students of public schools are qualified for free NECO.
