Indigents of Tafawa Balewa and Bogoro local council in Bauchi State have called on President Muhammadu Buhari and the state governor, Mohammed Abubakar, to stop the Emir of Bauchi, Alhaji Rilwan Sulaiman Adamu from appointing districts heads within Sayawa chiefdom.
They described this plan by the governor as illegal, which they said could lead to bloodshed in the communities.
The Deputy National Youth Leader, Zaar Youth Development Association (ZAYODA), Godiya Haruna, stated this yesterday in a press conference at Tafawa Balewa town.
Godiya said that the action of the emir is a clear violation of a directive that was gazetted by Bauchi State government stopping the monarch from further appointment and coronation of hamlets and district heads within Sayawa chiefdom.
He said according to the gazette, the emir should maintain status quos until the final actualization of Sayawa chiefdom as gazetted by the state government.
